About me

Hello! I'm Bogdan, a software engineer with a passion for building reliable and efficient systems. When I'm not wrestling with code, you'll find me on the trails or the tennis court, always up for a new adventure.

Tech Journey & Expertise:

My love affair with technology began young. It all started with tinkering – from tweaking the kernel of my beloved first Android, the HTC G2, to flashing new firmware on my trusty Sony Walkman phones and customizing kernels. I dove deep into the XDA forums, soaking up knowledge from the tech community. As my fascination grew, I decided to pursue a Master's in Computer Science at the University of Birmingham, following my Bachelor's in Psychology at Coventry University.

At companies like Trint, I've played a key role in boosting system performance and reliability. This included consolidating logs and tracing for better monitoring, optimizing core services (reducing costs by a cool 30%!), and significantly contributing to their mobile backend system. Here, I designed systems for rock-solid transcription, even in challenging environments with spotty network connections (think train tunnels and elevators).

Beyond the Code:

My curiosity never sleeps! Whether it's exploring the fascinating world of fitness science, getting lost in a good book (or audiobook!), or tinkering with personal projects, I'm always eager to learn how things tick. This thirst for knowledge spills over into the great outdoors, where I find adventure and fresh perspectives on challenging hikes.
